Product Summary
The PCI1410AGGU is a high-performance PCI-to-PC Card controller that supports a single PC Card socket compliant with the PC Card Standard. The PCI1410AGGU device provides features that make it the best choice for bridging between PCI and PC Cards in both notebook and desktop computers. The PC Card Standard retains the 16-bit PC Card specification defined in PCI Local Bus Specification and defines the new 32-bit PC Card, CardBus, as being capable of full 32-bit data transfers at 33 MHz. The PCI1410AGGU device supports both 16-bit and CardBus PC Cards, powered at 5 V or 3.3 V, as required.
Parametrics
PCI1410AGGU absolute maximum ratings: (1)Supply voltage range, VCC: –0.5 V to 4.6 V; (2)Clamping voltage range, VCCP, VCCCB, VCCI: –0.5 V to 6 V; (3)Input voltage range, VI: PCI –0.5 V to VCCP + 0.5 V; Card –0.5 to VCCCB + 0.5 V ; Miscellaneous: –0.5 to VCCI + 0.5 V; Fail safe: –0.5 V to VCC + 0.5 V; (4)Output voltage range, VO: PCI –0.5 V to VCC + 0.5 V; Card: –0.5 to VCC + 0.5 V; Miscellaneous: –0.5 to VCC + 0.5 V; Fail safe: –0.5 V to VCC + 0.5 V; (5)Input clamp current, IIK (VI < 0 or VI > VCC): ±20 mA; (6)Output clamp current, IOK (VO < 0 or VO > VCC): ±20 mA; (7)Storage temperature range, Tstg: –65 to 150℃; (8)Virtual junction temperature, TJ: 150℃.
Features
PCI1410AGGU features: (1)Ability to wake from D3hot and D3cold; (2)Full compatiblity with the Intel 430TX (Mobile Triton II) chipset; (3)A 144-terminal low-profile QFP (PGE), 144-terminal MicroStar BGA? ball grid array (GGU) package, or 209-terminal MicroStar BGA? (GHK) package; (4)3.3-V core logic with universal PCI interfaces compatible with 3.3-V and 5-V PCI signaling environments; (5)Mix-and-match 5-V/3.3-V 16-bit PC Cards and 3.3-V CardBus Cards; (6)Single PC Card or CardBus slot with hot insertion and removal; (7)Burst transfers to maximize data throughput on the PCI bus and the CardBus bus; (8)Parallel PCI interrupts, parallel ISA IRQ and parallel PCI interrupts, serial ISA IRQ with parallel PCI interrupts, and serial ISA IRQ and PCI interrupts; (9)Serial EEPROM interface for loading subsystem ID and subsystem vendor ID; (10)Pipelined architecture allows greater than 130 Mbit/s sustained throughput from CardBus to PCI and from PCI to CardBus.
